Recovery

The “R” in SOAR stands for “Recovery”

Details

Recovery can be a slow and daily process “new norm” for disabled veterans and it is supported through engagement with other veterans, family members, recreational activities and opportunities that may not be provided without the support of WARRIORS SOAR and our supporters.

WARRIORS SOAR, a nonprofit organization catering to the reintegration of wounded veterans, provides a range of services and support that can be helpful for people in recovery.

Peer support

Veterans in recovery may benefit from connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences. WARRIORS SOAR coordinates peer support and other opportunities for veterans in recovery to connect with other wounded veterans who have overcome similar challenges.

Mental health support

Veterans in recovery may struggle with mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, that can make it difficult to reintegrate into civilian life. WARRIORS SOAR supplies mental health support, such as counseling resources, mentorship and support, to help veterans in recovery manage these challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Physical health support

People in recovery may also struggle with physical health issues, such as chronic pain or mobility challenges. WARRIORS SOAR can provide physical health support, such as recommended access to medical care, physical therapy, and adaptive sports programs, to help veterans in recovery improve their physical health and well-being.
