Lane Perrins
Director of Georgia Warriors Soar Golf Classic
Lane R. Perrins retired from Georgia-Pacific Corporation in 2015 after a 31-year career. He worked in a variety of senior roles in Sales Development, Category Management and Channel and Segment Marketing. In each area, Lane leveraged his business experience, customer focus and people skills to motivate his teams to achieve goals and strive towards excellence.
In his last role at G-P, Lane pioneered the start up and development of a remote Inside sales capability. This sales model enabled a more efficient allocation of sales resources that grew sales while increasing profitability. This capability is still being utilized today, more than 10 years after the first remote sales team was introduced.
Upon retirement, Lane fulfilled his dream to give back through coaching high school baseball. 2024 marks Lane’s 9th year as a coach at Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Ga. Since 2016 he has been an assistant Varsity baseball Coach and in 2019 became head coach of the Junior Varsity team. In 2021, the JV team went 13-2, a school record. Lane was named Assistant Coach of the year in 2019 by the Georgia Dugout Club.
In 2016, Lane met Shannon Blake, (founder of Warriors Soar) and discussed opportunities to help raise money for wounded/disabled veterans. As tournament Director, Lane created The Georgia Warriors Soar Golf Classic which has become an annual charity golf outing and silent auction that supports wounded/disabled veterans through Warriors Soar, Inc. This annual one-day event has raised over $375,000 in 5 years. The Georgia event has been used as the model for other Warriors Soar golf events and is Warriors Soar’s largest single fund raising event.
Lane and his wife Mary are originally from New England and have resided in Roswell, Georgia since late 2001.
