Brent Fountain
Director of Texas Golf Tournament & WARRIORS SOAR Baseball Umpires
Brent Fountain retired from the Navy in 2011 as a Chief Petty Officer. After growing up in Centreville, Virginia, he spent over 20 years on active duty, spending 9 of it at sea onboard multiple platforms, including: USS Mississippi (CGN 40), USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), USS George Washington (CVN 72), and USS Pinckney (DDG 91), He was also stationed in RTC Great Lakes, Illinois; Ft. Devens, Massachusetts; Misawa, Japan; San Angelo, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Pensacola, Florida; and Suitland, Maryland.
Brent has over 30 years of professional management and leadership experience in intelligence. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Park University in 2011.
His medals include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (3rd award), Good Conduct Award (5th), Sea Service (2nd), as well as several campaign and unit awards.
In retirement, Chief Fountain and his wife, Tammy, live in San Antonio, Texas. They have two adult daughters, Krisna (Amanda) and Kortney. When they aren’t organizing other events for the organization, they enjoy spending time with their 4 grandchildren. Brent is currently the Director of Warriors SOAR (Texas), beginning to grow the organization. He works as a civilian for the Department of Defense, as well as umpire for college and high school baseball.
Brent joined Warriors SOAR in 2020 looking to bring more wounded Heroes to fantasy camp. As an umpire, he was instrumental in bringing 10 umpires to camp in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, 14 umpires made the trip to south Florida. This year, Warriors SOAR Texas will be working many opportunities to help get our brothers and sisters active in the community and ready to help others recover from their injuries. He also coordinates the Texas Golf Classic with the help of many dedicated volunteers.
